Everton will meet Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday as they look to make a quick return to winning ways.
The Toffees will entertain the Seagulls at Goodison Park following their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United and will want to get back to the form that saw them win three Premier League matches in a row.
Brighton will pose Marco Silva’s side a tough challenge as they have an almost identical record this season and Glenn Murray has been clinical in front of goal.
The striker’s exploits may be of concern for the Portuguese manager, as he has confirmed that he will be without two of his defenders for the game.
Both Phil Jagielka and Jonjoe Kenny will be absent with minor injuries as the fixture appears to have come round too quickly for the pair.
“Everything is OK apart from a small problem, nothing special, with Jags and Jonjoe,” Silva told Sky Sports.
“It is a matter of some days and they will be OK to train next week.”
The duo’s absence will be a frustrating blow for Silva and Everton on Saturday as they prepare to face Brighton.
They will have been hopeful that both players would have been fit in order to handle the attacking threat the south coast outfit posses, but they should have enough quality in the team to handle it.
Seamus Coleman has enough experience, although admittedly has been far from his best, whilst Michael Keane and Kurt Zouma have been filling in, with Yerry Mina also thought to be closing in on his Everton debut.
