This is because our resident Blues fanatics are just reading about what the Daily Mail has been saying about Demba Ba.
Whilst not quite as bad as still owning Victor Moses (who for all bar Luke Shaw, is not exactly a world beater) the Blues still have the under-performing Fernando Torres and Demba Ba on their books.
It seems like the latter of those players could well be on his way out of the club with Everton keen on a loan deal.
Given they didn’t do half badly from taking Romelu Lukaku last season, we can understand why Roberto Martinez wants to take Ba, but there is one big problem.
The Senegalese international forward is currently earning around £80,000-a-week and Everton do not think he is worth this and will not pay it.
That would leave Chelsea having to at least make up part of the former Newcastle United forward’s wages, although some of our punters think it would be worth it just to get rid of Ba.
Chelsea fans. Would you pay Ba to go out on loan for the season or do you think he makes a decent third choice forward? Let us know your thoughts below.
