Despite showing glimpses of quality, Cenk Tosun has largely struggled at Everton since arriving from Besiktas back in January.
As a result, the Turkish striker has since been linked with a return his former club in the upcoming transfer window.
And Besiktas are rumoured to be plotting what can only be deemed as a scandalous move to re-sign their former man.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik (via Turkish Football), Besiktas are hoping to bring Tosun back to the Vodafone Park in a deal that will see the Turkey international initially sign on loan for free before the club decide whether or not to exercise an option to buy clause.
Quite frankly, the offer Besiktas are said to be preparing to make is unacceptable and one Everton must not entertain at any cost.
Albeit he is in a difficult period, Tosun has shown enough to suggest he can still come good at Goodison Park.
Tosun’s lack of confidence can be seen in his shooting , but the 27-year-old is still getting in some very dangerous and promising positions.
While his finishing is clearly not there, the former Besiktas man’s movement is and Everton should strongly consider holding on to their striker at least until next summer.
And should the Merseyside club decide for whatever reason that Tosun must go in January, then they really should be looking to recoup most of their money rather than listen to such pathetic offers such as the one Besiktas are allegedly readying.Like what the TT have on offer?
