Everton would finally replace Ross Barkley with swoop on £13.5m-rated World Cup man

The Everton fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Marco Silva can spark some belief around the club and create a team that is capable of launching a substantial bid to get back into Europe.

Their last campaign took many unexpected twists and turns but now finally with the manager they so dearly desired, the Toffees are hopeful of a better season under the former Watford and Hull manager. To get things started, our punters want to see Everton make a massive statement by attempting to recruit Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is valued at £13.5 million on Transfermarkt.

The Chelsea man impressed massively out on loan with Crystal Palace last season, so much so that his form earned him an England call-up for the World Cup, a competition in which so far, he is thriving in. The 22-year-old has brilliant traits and his incredibly well-built physique especially makes it impossible for opposition defenders to try and win the ball from him. The powerhouse made 25 total appearances for Roy Hodgson’s Palace, where he managed to score twice and get 5 assists to present to the top flight and Chelsea, that he isn’t a player needing a loan spell, he’s ready now to be a top player in the Premier League.

Loftus-Cheek can play in any role in the midfield, whether a team wants him more attacking or defensive, the 22-year-old can perform that role to perfection. Everton have lacked a real driving force in midfield to get them going so signing the up and coming Englishman would be a hell of a statement and a shrewd signing should the Blues be mad enough to let him go.
