Andre Gomes has put in a number of impressive performances for Everton this season.
The Portugal international joined the Goodison Park outfit on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona in the summer and has clearly made an impact.
Despite a slow start to life in the Premier League, as he had to recover from a knock, he does not look out of place in The Toffees side and has arguably been one of Marco Silva’s best players.
It is widely expected that Everton would like to keep him at the club beyond the end of the season and there is a feeling Barcelona would be willing to sell him.
However, according to a report by Mundo Deportivo, there have not yet been any official offers for Gomes, although Marcel Brands is expected to head out to Catalonia to discuss a possible deal in the future.
And, although the 25-year-old does not appear to have a future with the La Liga giants, it appears they will only let him go if they receive ‘a good offer’.
Gomes has been one of Silva’s most impressive players so far this season and Everton must look to do all they can to keep him at the club beyond the summer.
How much they will have to offer Barcelona to convince them to sell him remains to be seen, however, the way he has been playing recently, his price tag may have increased from what it could have been earlier in the year.
With Brands set to head out to Spain in the near future, it appears Everton are prepared to act on getting a deal over the line, so it may just be a matter of time before the Gomes is unveiled as a permanent Toffee.
