It’s been a pretty decent start to the Premier League campaign for Everton and their fans here in the Transfer Tavern seem fairly happy with how things are developing this campaign!
Ronald Koeman has begun to find a winning strategy in recent weeks and after the impressive 2-0 away victory at Leicester City on Boxing Day, the Toffees will be looking to kick on into 2017.
Much to the delight of our Everton-mad punters, European football is well within reach and with a couple of strong additions in January, Koeman’s side should be well within reach of the top-six come the end of the campaign.
But it’s not all going to be easy-going for Everton in January and as we’ve seen in seasons past, mistakes have been made that haven’t at all helped momentum going towards the end of the season.
So with that in mind, we think there are a handful of things the Toffees should avoid in the January transfer market and here’s three of them…
