Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly impressed with the work their club has done so far in the summer window.
Many here by the bar felt that the men from Goodison Park needed to spend big if they were to build on next season and try and get into the top six and that looks to be the approach they have adopted.
Indeed, Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen have already arrived and it appears as though the spending could continue with the signing of Moussa Dembele from Celtic – according to The Sun.
And we reckon, if that comes to pass, this would be another superb move from the Toffees in a window they look to be winning at the moment.
Indeed, Dembele was a real revelation last season for Celtic as he scored goal after goal including a hat-trick in his first Old Firm Derby.
That campaign, then, has suggested he’s more than ready to take another big step forward and signing for a side aiming to break into the top four next year looks like the most natural progression.
Indeed, with Everton looking to do that combined with the fact they have a young and hungry side – two qualities Dembele clearly has – this looks to be a deal that is simply perfect.
And, for the touted £30 million it could cost, that really does look to be a bargain.
