Allardyce reportedly lines up swoop for England man as Everton look to improve this summer

Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern will be pleased that their side managed to get a draw against fierce Merseyside rivals Liverpool at the weekend and have turned their interests into who Sam Allardyce is preparing to sign this summer.

The Sun are claiming that the Toffees are looking at the possibility of launching a £25million bid for West Ham United’s Aaron Cresswell, a man Big Sam knows well. The ex-Hammers boss signed the left-back initially for the club four years ago and is believed to want to bring him to Goodison Park.

It is thought that the England international would like to move back to Merseyside one day, as he hails from the area, although David Moyes will not want to see one of his best players leave the club anytime soon. Cresswell could well be in with a chance of getting in the England eleven, as they look to secure the world cup for the first time since 1966 – Our landlord advises looking at World Cup Tips ahead of the tournament in Russia.

The 28-year-old has been crucial to the Irons’ fight for survival and has established himself as a first-team player since joining from Ipswich Town, however, a move back to the area could be too difficult for him to turn down.

Desperate for some good news heading into the summer after an awful campaign, the Toffees here in the Tavern would love to see the England international arrive, with Leighton Baines getting on in years.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Everton locals in the Tavern will be hoping the club can use Cresswell’s roots to their advantage and lure the left-back to Goodison Park in the summer. The England international would help to provide some much-needed competition for Leighton Baines and the punters will be looking for their club to get a deal done in the summer.
