Everton moved into the top half of the Premier League following a hard-fought 2-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend.

Both sides hit the woodwork in the entertaining encounter but it took until the second half for the deadlock to be broken. Everton improved after the break and went ahead with Lucas Digne crossing for Kurt Zouma. Bournemouth pushed forward but a late goal from Dominic Calvert-Lewin secured an important win for Marco Silva.

Once again, the Portuguese opted to field Richarlison as the central striker and the Brazilian failed to impose himself. After scoring six goals in his first nine Premier League appearances, their record signing has managed just three in his past 11 games. Signing a new forward to allow Richarlison to his favoured left wing should be a priority for the club.

One man the Blues could target is Espanyol forward – Borja Iglesias. Valued at £18m by Transfermarkt, the 25-year-old spent last season on loan with Real Zaragoza and impressed greatly – netting an impressive 22 league goals. His form prompted Espanyol to spend £9m to lure the forward to the club and Iglesias has continued his excellent form in the current campaign.

The Spaniard has already found the back of the net nine times this season as well as registering two assists for his team-mates. He excels at hold up play, making him ideal for Silva’s system at Goodison Park, his arrival would help Richarlison flourish once again. Iglesias has averaged an impressive 1.4 key passes per game highlighting his ability to bring others into the game – he is the perfect player to lead the line (WhoScored).

Approaching the prime of his career, the Toffees should offer the former Villarreal man the chance to further his legacy in the Premier League.
