Everton fans will be delighted to see their stars finally receive recognition in the recent international break.

Prior to his move to Goodison Park, Richarlison had never been capped by Brazil, but his excellent form under Marco Silva has seen him enter the international fold. Both Kurt Zouma and Lucas Digne were also called up for the recent international break by France as a reward for their excellent performances for the Blues so far. Everton fans will be hoping their showings continue when the Premier League returns at the weekend.

Everton’s progress under Silva is evident, but there is plenty of work to be done to get the Toffees challenging the Premier League top four. After an excellent summer transfer window, Silva will be hoping for similar success in January; the window reopens in less than two months.

One man who Silva should be keeping a close eye on is Napoli full-back – Elseid Hysaj. Valued at £22.5m by Transfermarkt, the Albania international has developed into one of the best right-backs in the Serie A since his move from Empoli back in 2015. Hysaj made 35 appearances during last season’s title challenge and remains an integral player under Carlo Ancelotti.

While Hysaj’s attacking ability could be improved on, the 24-year-old is a solid defender who would add stability to Everton’s back four. His arrival on Merseyside would add real competition to Seamus Coleman and help the Irishman rediscover his best form. Adding another quality option in defence would allow Silva to find a loan destination for youngster Jonjoe Kenny to give him regular first-team football.

Still developing and improving, Hysaj has all the attributes to be a success in the Premier League. Playing in Silva’s attacking system would certainly help his offensive ability which could make him one of the best right-backs in England.
