Everton: Andre Gomes gesture to supporters before Crystal Palace game has fans praising midfielder - Everton

Uploading a video to his YouTube channel, Everton midfielder Andre Gomes surprised a family of Toffees supporters by giving them a lift to Goodison Park before their 3-1 victory at home to Crystal Palace – resulting in swathes of fans praising the ‘humble‘ gesture from their man.

Gomes, who started seven Premier League games for the Toffees before suffering a nasty ankle injury at home to Tottenham Hotspur in November, was proving to be a crucial man in the heart of Everton’s midfield, amassing a noteworthy 83.4% pass success rate, as per WhoScored.com.

Compared to his replacement Fabian Delph, Gomes averages the same amount of completed dribbles (1.4) whilst completing more key passes when he does feature (0.8), potentially highlighting the creative presence that Carlo Ancelotti’s side have missed in his absence. However, despite being unable to return yet, Gomes has taken to doing more good deeds away from the pitch, surprising an Evertonian family with a drive to Goodison Park in a heartwarming video.
