According to The Mirror, Everton and Arsenal are facing off in the race to sign Hull City youngster Josh Tymon, with our resident Toffees fans here in the Transfer Tavern hoping Ronald Koeman can do the business.
The young full-back has featured for the Tigers a number of times in the cup competitions over the last couple of seasons, attracting a lot of attention from the likes of the Toffees and the Gunners and Tuesday night was reportedly no different.
Struggling in the Premier League, they managed to beat Bristol City in the EFL Cup at Ashton Gate with Tymon earning more plaudits.
The report claims that representatives of both Everton and Arsenal were there to run the rule over the player.
Whether or not he makes his Premier League debut against Watford this weekend remains to be seen but the Tigers will want to get him on a professional contract soon.
With two of the Premier League’s in-form clubs clearly interested in signing him on, the Humberside outfit could play host to a big transfer battle.
