Everton ‘could emerge as option’ for opinion-splitting Premier League star in January

Many of the Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are bored of all this management talk right now. Indeed, the Toffees in the Tavern are hopeful of an exciting change, though can’t bring themselves to read through all the rumours and reports.

So, the more eagle-eyed punters propping up our bar were delighted to see talk of a potential incoming PLAYER in January, just to mix things up a bit. According to Bleacher Report, a Premier League star could emerge as an option at Goodison Park during the New Year sales.

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott could reportedly be a target for Everton as they look to inject some more pace into their attack, an area in which they’ve seriously struggled so far this season. Seemingly out of the picture with the Gunners, the England international would be a coup in January should Everton be able to force a deal through.

Landlord’s Verdict

While Walcott certainly divides opinion, he’s exactly what Everton need. A player to run onto service from the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Davy Klaassen and Wayne Rooney, he’d be a breath of fresh air on Merseyside.
