Everton eyeing La Liga striker in bid to boost European push

According to the print version of Marca (via The Liverpool Echo,) Everton are looking into the possibility of signing Rodrigo from Valencia – exciting our resident Toffees fans in the Transfer Tavern.

It’s already been a good week for the Blues by the bar after their team beat Arsenal 2-1 last night.

Many had been wondering where their season was heading with their terrible form of late but the three points against the Gunners has led to them now thinking European qualification is still possible.

Indeed, with the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Idrissa Gueye around you can’t disagree with that and now the former Southampton manager Ronald Koeman appears to have set his sights on his latest target.

With Valencia really struggling in La Liga for both form and money they look set to have a tough second half of the season, too, and Everton are apparently ready to profit in signing one of their main strikers.

Rodrigo has four goals and two assists this season and our landlord reckons he’d be a decent addition to the team.

Would you take Rodrigo, Everton fans? How would he fit in? Let us know below!
