Everton: Fans agree with Andy Gray’s comments about Sam Allardyce - Everton

Everton fans have been reacting in agreement to comments made by former Toffees forward Andy Gray about ex-boss Sam Allardyce.

The former Bolton and Sunderland boss took over from Ronald Koeman, who was sacked in 2017 after a 5-2 defeat to Arsenal at Goodison Park and inherited the reins until the end of the season.

Allardyce, who managed the England national team for one game, lost his job on Merseyside after he was heavily criticised by fans for his management and Everton’s style of play.

Gray echoed the words of the fans and said that Allardyce was “not the right fit”, arguing with colleague Richard Keys about his suitability to the club.

The Scotsman is renowned as an Everton legend after being part of Howard Kendall’s 1986 title-winning side and scored 17 goals in 40 appearances for the club.

Supporters were in agreement with the former Blues striker and made their feelings clear on social media.
