Lots of Everton fans found themselves agreeing with pundit Gary Neville after he criticised the club’s performances.
The Toffees were beaten 3-2 by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday and were praised by some for their performance in north London. Neville responded on Twitter (via @GNev2) to a disgruntled fan that the Blues shy away from big games and that he simply cannot talk positively about them after they lost the game, as well as missing the chances that they had. With Carlo Ancelotti’s side set to face his Manchester United team next at Goodison Park, he runs the risk of his comments backfiring on him.
Supporters found it tricky to disagree with what the Old Trafford legend had to say and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was spot on and that it was hard to argue his point, while another stated that he was in full agreement with what he had to say.

It’s hard not too to be honest. It’s like every time we go away to one of the “big 6” we freeze and just think we’re going to get beat. Hopefully with Carlo that will change when he gets his players.

When Carlo’s boys come in, we won’t have excuses. At the moment he has Koeman’s clueless cases, Martinez’s crab passing players and Allardyce’s hoofball huffers.
He had NO PLAYER he has bought. Huge summer ahead for Brands too. Delph, MorSch and Sig HAVE to be 1st sold

He’s right though. I don’t know why people get so agitated about it. We aren’t talked about because weve consistently flapped it. It’s not just blues who can see the ‘Everton that’ when things go wrong for us

The media view will never change until we change it be winning! He’s right we bottle most big games! Should have won yesterday but didn’t

I agree with the brother of Phil Neville’s opinions.

He’s spot on you can’t argue with it at all
