Everton’s youth goalkeeper João Virginia has uploaded a video of his stay-at-home training regime and Blues fans are loving it.
With the Premier League currently suspended due to the increasing effects of recent events, top-flight footballers have been forced to self-isolate and train at home. The expected return date of the 2019/20 fixtures will be June 1 if all goes as expected (via Daily Mail).
The Portuguese youth international made the move from Arsenal’s academy to Everton’s U23 side back in 2018 and has been on loan at Reading, though he has since returned (via Transfermarkt). The 20-year-old is amongst two other goalkeepers who are trying to push their way into the senior team, Harry Tyrer (18) and Nicholas Defreitas-Hansen (18).
Everton fans are loving the video of Virginia and his girlfriend Inês, who is stepping in as his temporary goalkeeping coach. One fan has even said that she is ‘better than Pickford’.
