Everton fans have been reacting to links to the possible signing of River Plate striker Rafael Santos Borre, but are convinced that he would not play under manager Marco Silva.
The Colombia international, who scored in the Argentinian side’s 2-1 defeat to Flamengo during the Copa Libertadores final, previously played his football at Spanish side Villareal during the 2016/17 campaign and did not exactly light the world on fire. He only scored four goals in 30 appearances for El Submarino Amarillo.
As a result, he was shipped off to Argentina and to River Plate, where he has become a fan favourite. He has scored 27 goals in 83 outings for the club.
Everton have made a bid of €15m(£12.8m) for River Plate centre-forward Rafael Santos Borré. Any deal that is negotiated would see the player swap clubs in January or the summer. (Source: FOX Sports)#EFC pic.twitter.com/CJpr3qvQk1

Here you will find some of the best comments from Everton fans:
Another lad who’ll arrive and won’t play because:
a. He’s not up to the pace of the PL
b. He hasn’t played enough for his national side = no work permit
c. The horse he bought his girlfriend stood on his foot while they were stabling it in his luxury apartment
