Everton’s club charity, Everton in the Community, has revealed they have received permission to build their planned mental health facility in Liverpool.
The proposed hub, branded ‘The People’s Place’, has been given the green light by Liverpool City Council to go ahead when construction is safe to begin. It will be built on Spellow Lane, a stone’s throw away from Goodison Park.
The purpose of the mental health facility will be to provide individuals with support relating to suicide awareness and prevention. Everton have highlighted the need to offer the community a safe space like this, particularly during the current troubling times affecting the UK. [via Everton in the Community]
