Everton: Fans flock to a recent tweet from Toffees winger Theo Walcott - Everton

Some Everton fans have been responding to a tweet that was recently posted by Toffees winger Theo Walcott in which he shares a picture of himself doing some Saturday night housework while holding a wine glass.

It may be fair to say that many professional footballers might have some extra time on their hands at present as a result of the current viral outbreak, following the postponement of “the professional game in England” which was announced by the Premier League via their official website on 13 March

In order to try and battle the spread of the viral outbreak that is currently impacting the UK, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced some “strict new curbs on life in the UK”, as reported by the BBC on 24 March

One change that has been introduced to people’s daily lives following Johnson’s recent orders is a change in their freedom with regard to leaving the home. As per the BBC, the British government have declared that the nation’s citizens may only leave their homes in order to “exercise once a day, travel to and from work when it is “absolutely necessary”, shop for essential items, and fulfil any medical or care needs”.

As a result of the British government’s recent guidelines, it may be fair to say that many British citizens might be spending their Saturday’s in a similar fashion to Walcott, by staying indoors and performing, what it may be fair to say are generally uneventful tasks in order to pass the time, such as vacuuming.

Some Toffees supporters have been reacting to Walcott’s recent post, with some taking note of the wine glass in the winger’s hand. Read the reactions of some Everton fans to Walcott’s recent post in the tweets below.
