Everton fans have been cursing their luck with injuries after Duncan Ferguson revealed that Morgan Schneiderlin and Theo Walcott were ruled out of their weekend trip to Old Trafford.
In his pre-match press conference, Ferguson confirmed that both would miss their game against Manchester United with calf injuries, while the likes of Fabian Delph, Yerry Mina and Seamus Coleman have only been involved in light training as they recover from their respective knocks.
However, Lucas Digne played a full part in training after not being able to last the victory over Chelsea.
The slew of injuries that Everton have encountered recently has not gone unnoticed by the fans, who have been bemoaning the pile-up of knocks to first-team players in recent weeks and months.
There was some direct criticism for the newly crocked duo, though most reactions to the fitness update saw fans showing their frustration at the lack of options for Ferguson ahead of the weekend’s game, as you can see below:
