Everton: Fans fume at Fabian Delph following West Ham stalemate - Everton

Everton fans fumed at midfielder Fabian Delph following his side’s 1-1 draw against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday.

The Toffees were unable to expand on Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s first-half equaliser as they were forced to share the spoils in East London. Issa Diop scored the opener following a free-kick from the right-hand side from Robert Snodgrass, but the 22-year-old scored just three minutes later from a Lucas Digne corner. Despite taking a point from the affair, fans focused their attention to the performance of one player in particular.

Fabian Delph arrived at Everton from Manchester City for £10m in the summer and has not been the experienced player that supporters expected, which was further emphasised on Saturday. SofaScore recorded that he lost possession 12 times, only had two successful long balls out of seven attempted and only won three out of six individual battles. Supporters fumed at the former Citizens’ middle man by making their feelings clear on social media.
