Everton: Fans hail Tom Davies following heartwarming club exclusive

Tom Davies has come on leaps and bounds since being forced into a pivotal midfield role, filling the shoes of teammate Andre Gomes, and many supporters have been impressed with the way he has performed recently.
Davies put on a Man of the Match display during the Toffees’ 2-1 victory at Southampton, a match where the Englishman nicked an early opening goal, and supporters are now taking to him even more following a brilliant exclusive with the youngster.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Davies outlined how he is feeling stronger and fitter than ever, even revealing that he has become a vegetarian.
“I am feeling strong and fit – that side of my game is coming along and I can feel it out on the pitch,” Davies told EvertonTV.
“I have always done extra in the gym and I am a vegetarian now.
“I feel strong and also that I am growing into the physicality of the Premier League. I am happy with everything and how things are going for me.”
The Englishman has been given a chance to shine, partly due the absence of Andre Gomes after a horror tackle against Spurs required him to undergo ankle surgery.
So far this season, in his limited outings, Davies has amassed a 78.3% pass success rate in midfield (via WhoScored) and that number is only set to improve if he keeps putting in brilliant displays like his showing at St. Mary’s.
As a result, Toffees supporters have jumped to the midfielder’s praise on Twitter.
Tom is maturing into a proper player with his new strength and confidence. We should give other lads the chance and not let them leave.

Just watched Howard’s way….it’s so important to have local lads in the team. Everyone gets on board with it more. I love this lad and hope he keeps going from strength to strength because that’s what Everton is
