Everton: Fans laud Dominic Calvert-Lewin after claiming Man of the Match award

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was unable to add to his brace against Chelsea when Everton took on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
That did not stop fans from lauding the 22-year-old after the 1-1 draw, though, as he went on to win the club’s Man of the Match award.
Should Duncan Ferguson be made permanent manager?
Yes

No

And even though he was unable to score, it is easy to see why. He caused Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side problems all afternoon.
In the air, he was a colossus. According to WhoScored, he won an incredible 8 aerial duels – only Harry Maguire won more. The former England U21 international also registered three shots, testing David de Gea once.
As long as Duncan Ferguson remains in the Goodison Park dugout, Calvert-Lewin looks like Everton’s undisputed No.9, especially after the Moise Kean debacle. Kean was, of course, brought on as a substitute yesterday, only to be dragged off less than 20 minutes later.
Take a look at what Everton fans have been saying about Calvert-Lewin below…
Completely agree with this. Thought both were quality today

Quickly proving he has what it takes to be a real threat up top @CalvertLewin14

DCL has been a proper number 9 for his last two games, especially leading the line with Richarlison. Long may it continue.

Deserved it, covered every blade of grass and caused all sorts of problems for the untied backline

Thought he was awesome today, lead the line brilliantly. He was a proper handful, bullied McGuire and Lindelhof all game.
