Carlo Ancelotti was finally appointed as Everton manager over the weekend and gave his first interview as boss, much to the delight of supporters.
In his interview with the club, the 60-year-old expressed his excitement and laid out his ambitions for the Merseyside outfit.
“It’s my dream to bring success,” Ancelotti told Everton’s media team following his appointment. And having delivered success at most of the clubs he has managed, the likes of Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright will be expecting just that from the former Napoli manager.
Indeed, the Italian coach has already achieved success in England, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Community Shield during his spell with Chelsea.
Currently 15th in the table, the Toffees quite clearly do not possess a team capable of achieving such a feat today. However, with Ancelotti being handed a four-and-a-half-year contract, supporters will understand it is a process and just seem pleased to have the three-time Champions League winner in the Goodison Park dugout.
Take a look at how they reacted to Ancelotti’s first words as Everton boss below…
