Everton fans criticised goalkeeper Jordan Pickford during his side's 1-1 draw against West Ham United on Saturday after a save he pulled off during the 90 minutes.

The 25-year-old was forced into action just before half-time after he kept out Pablo Fornals' header from close range with a flying fist which sent the ball over the top of the crossbar. The Toffees were forced to share the spoils on the day having gone behind from Issa Diop's opener from a free-kick but fought back three minutes later through a Dominic Calvert-Lewin header from Lucas Digne's corner.

The Sunderland-born shot-stopper described his own save as a "worldy", as per talkSPORT, as he was proud of himself for what he had pulled off during the game. Despite this, segments of the Gwladys Street faithful were not impressed and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that a top goalkeeper would have caught it, while another said that he "made an absolute meal of it".
