Everton fans on Twitter all making the same joke after Duncan Ferguson’s comments

The Everton fans have been reacting to comments from club legend and current first-team coach, Duncan Ferguson about their Turkish frontman, Cenk Tosun. The 26-year-old was subject to a big money move from Besiktas in January and has scored four Premier League goals in his ten appearances in the competition since his move. His performances have drawn praise from Ferguson, who was speaking in an interview for the Everton website.

Whilst the current campaign will no doubt go down as a giant failure in the eyes of the Goodison Park faithful, the one shining light will have to be the arrival of Tosun in January. The target man joined the club having impressed in both the Super Lig and the Champions League for his former club, scoring 12 goals across 22 appearances in the two competitions.

The striker has suffered an up and down Everton career so far though, scoring four goals in three games against Stoke, Brighton and Burnley was an obvious high, although the seven games before and after that spell he’s failed to find the net in. The Toffees will be looking to write this season off as soon as possible and will be looking ahead to next year when, they hope, they’ll have a new gaffer in place of Sam Allardyce and be looking to play exciting flamboyant football, making the most of Tosun’s finishing ability.
