Speaking to Everton's official club website after making his Premier League debut during the Toffees' 1-1 draw at West Ham, youngster Anthony Gordon has been at the centre of huge praise from supporters after he dubbed the occasion 'the best day of my life so far'.

Gordon, who has racked up a prolific tally for Everton's U23s side this season, scoring six goals and assisting two others from midfield as per Transfermarkt, had his first taste of senior Premier League action during their trip to the London Stadium - coming on in the second half in place of Bernard.

The Englishman went on to have a solid outing, completing one dribble and amassing an 80% pass success rate, as per WhoScored.com. Gordon even looked an impressive enough for some supporters to claim he is an alternative to Theo Walcott - with his compatriot averaging a meagre 67% pass accuracy and just 1.5 shots per game over 10 starts by comparison - perhaps indicating that Gordon is one to watch out for in future as a potential stand-in.
