An unlikely hero starred for Everton U21s in their penalty loss to Crewe Alexandra last night and fans have mixed reviews over his potential return.
Does Niasse deserve another chance?
Oumar Niasse, who has played just 58 minutes of league action for the Toffees since the start of last season, has some praise since his match-winning heroics for the youth side. Indeed, he’s only ever scored nine goals for the club.
Now, some people are wondering if forgotten flop Niasse is in fact the solution to Everton’s problems going forward, especially considering the fact new signing Moise Kean is still yet to get off the mark.
Supporters have mixed reviews over the theory that the Senegalese’s presence could help Marco Silva’s side turn their form around – with Niasse becoming somewhat of a cult hero for all the wrong reasons.
Here’s what Everton fans had to say over his potential return to the first team.
The return of the king!!!

If the question is “who is one of the Everton players that should be the first to leave in the January transfer window?”, then yes, Niasse is the answer.

Absolutely not. He wouldn’t get a game in the old boys league. Send him back to where he’s from
