Marco Silva’s side were under pressure following a poor fun of form, but this comprehensive win somewhat eased the weight on Silva’s shoulders – with former England international Walcott putting on a brilliant display for the home crowd with an influential performance.

The 30-year-old set up Bernard for Everton’s opener, playing the Brazilian through where he managed to squeeze the ball under West Ham keeper Roberto.

As the match went on, Walcott would only continue to terrorise the Hammers backline – soon after hitting the woodwork following a stunning half-volley on the edge of the area.

The statistics say it all, with the former Arsenal man going on to play 86 minutes and completing 12 successful passes in the final third – along with striking the crossbar and notching an assist – according to this Everton tweet:

With these noteworthy statistics coming out after a surprisingly comfortable win for the home side, Everton fans were quick to praise Walcott for his good work – with hopes he can continue the fine form he displayed on Saturday.
