Everton supporters have been reasonably satisfied in recent times after seeing their team make an unbeaten start to the 2018/19 Premier League season.
Marco Silva’s appointment over the summer to replace Sam Allardyce was met with widespread delight and excitement among Toffees fans, and in making a solid start to the campaign, things appear to be looking up for the Merseyside outfit. A 2-1 success over Southampton has been intertwined with draws against Wolves, Bournemouth, and Huddersfield Town, and while they may have hoped for a few more wins, it’s a solid foundation from which Silva will look to build in the coming weeks and months.
As such, there are many satisfied Evertonians up and down the country at present, several of whom have been reacting to a recent post from the club’s official Twitter handle, what with it being three years to the day since Steven Naismith bagged a hat-trick in the Premier League against Chelsea.

The 31-year-old made the move to Goodison Park back in 2012 after excelling north of the border at Scottish giants Rangers, and the forward went on to perform reasonably well for the Toffees in netting 25 goals in 123 games for the club.
Yet his hat-trick in their 3-1 success over the Blues back in 2015 was arguably his standout display during his time at Everton, and a Twitter post from the club’s official account has since prompted quite a reaction from Toffees supporters on the social media platform.
And while many heaped praise on the Scotland international for his efforts that day, some called for their club to bring the 31-year-old back to Goodison Park, while others compared his impact to that of Toffees legend Tim Cahill…

This man must return to EFC sometime in the future, in some capacity. Blue through and through. He understood the club and fans and emerged himself in helping the community. His enthusiasm would rub off on younger players trying to break into the first team.

Always thought that Naismith brought something that others didn’t thought that he would have been a decent captain for us also he would argue with anyone and tell it as it was.

Loved that pic of him pointing and laughing at some player… Naisy all over.
He reminds me of Cahill in that he was underrated, and he was a proper terrier.
