Everton: Fans reminisce about Mikel Arteta’s ‘rocket’ against Bolton in 2006

Everton supporters have been looking back on their side’s 1-0 win against Bolton Wanderers, more specifically Mikel Arteta’s wonder strike which won them the game.
The game was fairly uneventful until the Spaniard’s 25-yard drilled shot deceived goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen and left him unable to keep out the strike.
Who would you prefer alongside Yerry Mina?
John Egan

Michael Keane

Sam Allardyce’s side would have considered themselves unlucky to be behind after chances from Ivan Campo and the late Gary Speed, but they were unable to convert any of their opportunities.

Still one of the best goals I’ve seen at Goodison. Arteta a class act in that playmaking role from the side https://t.co/Vw2ycHPDR5
