Everton: Fans show love for former star after heartwarming message to Andre Gomes

Former Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye has shown his support for ex-teammate Andre Gomes following his horrific injury at the weekend.
The Toffees drew 1-1 with Spurs on Sunday, courtesy of a dramatic 97th-minute equaliser from Cenk Tosun, but the result was somewhat overshadowed by Gomes’ painful-looking injury sustained just ten minutes from full time.
Everton have since confirmed that the Portuguese suffered a severe dislocation on his ankle, with some reports suggesting that the player could miss a huge portion of the season following the devastating blow.
Gomes went in for immediate surgery on Monday, prompting ex-Toffees star Gueye to show his support in a heartwarming social media post.
The Senegalese defensive midfielder signed for Paris-Saint Germain in the summer, putting an end to his three-year stay at Goodison Park, but the team bond is blatantly still there.
Gueye retweeted Everton’s club post regarding the news, simply putting:
