Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that summer signing Alex Iwobi is set for a spell on the sidelines, which has not come as a surprise to some supporters.
The 23-year-old sustained a hamstring injury against former club Arsenal last weekend to add to the Toffees’ injury woes.
They are currently without Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin and have also had Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina and Fabian Delph all missing in recent weeks, hence why fans are not surprised to hear about yet another injury.
As well as Iwobi, Morgan Schneiderlin is also set for some time outside the team because of injury, with Ancelotti confirming that the Frenchman will miss games against Burnley and Newcastle United.
He does, however, have Theo Walcott back after the 30-year-old missed the 0-0 draw with Arsenal at Goodison Park.
