Everton have endured a fairly boring start to their Premier League campaign and, with a number of key players struck down with injuries, Marco Silva is heading towards his first real challenge whilst manager of the Toffees.
A depleted squad will really be tested as well as the Portuguese manager’s skills and ability to bring in the right players to replace those with injuries.
Fans are certainly optimistic for one though that Marco Silva is the man to lead them forward as appose to Sam Allardyce, who made Goodison Park a miserable place last season despite guiding them to an 8th place finish.
It seems that already, the Toffees need to invest in a top forward during the January transfer window, something they have failed to do ever since letting Romelu Lukaku go. Celta Vigo’s Maxi Gomez is hot property right now and if Everton were able to get him, they best believe they’re heading towards an extremely bright future.
Gomez, (who is valued at £22.5 million on Transfermarkt) has been Celta Vigo’s star man over the last few seasons and it won’t be long before a number more Premier League clubs start pursuing his signature.
Having already got two goals and two assists to his name this season, the Uruguayan forward is destined to make his way to the top of football and Everton have to move extremely quick if they wanted to sign a forward of his quality.
Gomez averaged a goal every other game last season when he scored 18 La Liga goals and that is a scintillating record that has to interest Everton into signing him.
