Everton in talks to secure deal for striker, player set to fly over to UK

According to The Daily Mail, Everton are in talks to sign young Norwegian Rafik Zekhnini with our resident Toffees fans here in the Transfer Tavern hoping they can sign someone with such huge potential.

The 18-year-old striker plays for Odd BK but the report confirms that Zekhnini has been given permission to fly to this country and hold talks, believed to be with the men from Merseyside.

This latest signing would be another indication that the club’s new owners are willing to spend money on getting players into Ronald Koeman’s squad.

In the summer we saw the likes of Yannick Bolasie and Idrissa Gueye signed, and our resident Blues fans here by the bar are certainly happy with the way the club is heading for the future.

One Toffees fans by the bar here in the Tavern said: “It’s good to see that we’re signing young players for the future when often we’ve been selling some of our best in the past. We want Everton to compete right at the top of the league and it seems like our owners are more than ready to help do that.”

Our landlord admits he’s not heard of the young talent, but he could turn out to be a shrewd signing for the Merseyside outfit!

How exciting is the possible signing of Zekhnini, Everton fans? Let us know below…
