According to quotes from the Huddersfield Examiner, Everton keeper Jonas Lossl took a pay cut to re-join the Terriers on loan during deadline day, sparking a mixed reaction from Toffees supporters who have either slammed the news, said that he should have been given an opportunity or think stubborn striker Oumar Niasse should have the same attitude.
Lossl, who joined Everton from Huddersfield Town last summer as back up to Jordan Pickford, found game-time impossible to come by since arriving on Merseyside, with the Danish shot-stopper reportedly taking a pay cut in order to re-join his former club on loan in the Championship.
The 31-year-old, who played every game of Huddersfield’s debut season in the Premier League back in 2017/18 on a temporary deal from Mainz at the time, signed permanently for the Yorkshire side following a consistent campaign. However, second season syndrome kicked in the following year, with Huddersfield sinking back to England’s second-tier and finishing rock bottom of the league.
Despite this, Lossl is apparently overjoyed to be back at the John Smith’s Stadium, resulting in some Toffees supporters having a mixed reaction surrounding his decision to take a pay cut.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
Should of been given a chance

It’s a shame Oumar Niasse didn’t take the same line and attitude as Jonas has by joining a Championship on loan. @EvertonBlueArmy .

Great guy just wants to play and anything could happen when he returns. Jordan needs to avoid making silly mistakes for he is a damn good keeper otherwise.
