Everton keen on five-goal forward in next stage of Koeman project

According to the Ekstrabladet, Everton have sent scouts to look at 20-year-old striker Marcus Ingvartsen, dubbed in his homeland Denmark as the ‘Danish Inzaghi’ after the former AC Milan forward.

Naturally, such news has got the local Toffees fans here in the Transfer Tavern excited as they love an up and coming young talent, especially if he has shades of the Champions League winner.

Inzaghi famously scored the winner against rivals Liverpool in the 2007 Champions League final and the Danish newspaper is suggesting the Toffees could be in for the Scandinavian version.

Ingvartsen has scored five goals in thirteen games so far this season for Danish side Nordsjaelland.

Not only that, but he has hit six goals in just three appearances for the Danish U21s, leaving the punters at the bar licking their lips at such a prospect playing for them.

They already have Romelu Lukaku to cheer on as he leads the line but if Ingvartsen is deemed good enough despite his young age they’ll surely be happy to see him join.
