This summer is likely to be a busy one for Everton if Romelu Lukaku does indeed move on and there’s already plenty of talk here in the Transfer Tavern regarding whom they may replace him with.
The Toffees’ Belgian star has reportedly told the club that he has no intention of signing a new contract at Goodison Park which will surely prompt a transfer scramble for him in a few months’ time, and given that his current deal will expire in 2019 the Merseyside club may have little option but to cash in.
With Lukaku having notched 21 Premier League goals already this season it’s clear he will need replacing and reports from calciomercato.com claim that Chelsea’s Bertrand Traore is being eyed.
The Burkina Faso international is currently away from Stamford Bridge on loan at Ajax but he did show signs that he could thrive in the English top tier last season when given regular game time as the Blues’ season ground to a halt, netting two times in 10 league outings
Should Everton’s supposed interest in Traore firm up it could open the door for a swap deal between the two clubs involving Lukaku, with Yahoo Sport having reported that re-signing the player they sold to Merseysiders is a priority for the London outfit this summer.
Bertrand Traore deserves a Premier League chance – agree?
