Following the much-needed win over Arsenal yesterday, the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern simply haven’t stopped celebrating.
Ronald Koeman’s side looked out of sorts for weeks before claiming a scalp against the title-chasing Gunners last night, much to the delight of the Toffees in the Tavern.
Life in Liverpool has been difficult for the ex-Southampton coach, following a strong start to the season.
Despite being handed huge money in the summer, the squad at the Dutchman’s disposal largely looks unbalanced, so reports from Bleacher Report have come as somewhat of a surprise.
They claim outcast midfielder Tom Cleverley is set to remain at the club in January as he bids to fight for his place under Koeman.
The former Manchester United midfielder has lost his place in the pecking order of late and had been touted as a potential exit in January.
Still, according to BR’s Dean Jones, the 27-year-old is eager to remain at Goodison and battle for his future, despite his career taking a downward spiral in recent years.
Our Everton supporting punters don’t quite know what to make of it, with many of them hoping Cleverley is shipped out to make room for other players.
Should Cleverley leave to get his career back on track? Let us know below…
