Tuesday evening was a night to forget from the perspective of Everton supporters, having been 2-0 up and cruising in the 93rd minute, the Toffees eventually crumbled to allow Newcastle to snatch a 2-2 draw right at the death – but Moise Kean’s first Premier League goal has given supporters something positive to look back on.
The Italian, who signed from Juventus in the summer, previously struggled to open his account for Carlo Ancelotti’s side before his finish under Magpies keeper Martin Dubravka sent Goodison Park into euphoria. Kean’s opening goal in the first half, as a result, garnered huge praise from supporters who didn’t know what was to come from the match – with the majority of them hailing the fact he has finally scored a league goal for the Toffees.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin went on to double Everton’s lead early in the second half with a neat finish before opposition defender Florian Lejeune’s brace snatched away an arguably deserved three points from Everton’s perspective. Kean, compared to his English striking partner, has failed to match his influence – registering less successful aerial duels (0.3) whilst not competing in terms of shots per game (1.2), as per WhoScored.com.
However, given the teenager’s breakthrough strike, this could be a moment to build upon and improve for the rest of the season – find all of the best reaction from Everton supporters down below.

So made up for the lad. He and Dom are young and showing some excellent fitness. They’re growing to be an unbeatable strike partnership…
