Everton: Morgan Schneiderlin fails to impress these Toffees supporters despite impressive Crystal Palace display

Responding to a piece by the Liverpool Echo, a number of Everton supporters have had their say over the impressive performance by midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin – with some of them suggesting he has a long way to go before he is fully redeemed.
Schneiderlin, who signed from Manchester United back in January 2017 for a £24million fee, has gone on to make 87 appearances for the Toffees so far whilst scoring one goal and assisting just twice from midfield (Transfermarkt). This season, despite playing 14 Premier League games overall, he has seemingly fallen down the pecking order behind fellow midfielder Tom Davies – but his last outing during Everton’s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace may have put him back in starting contention.
The Frenchman, who amassed an 84% pass accuracy whilst winning the majority of his ground duels (SofaScore) at the weekend, impressed many supporters and pundits alike with his performance alongside Gylfi Sigurdsson in the centre – but given some unimpressive past showings, these Toffees fans feel he has to do more to redeem his worth, with one supporter believing the midfielder is “unappreciative” of his place in the Everton team.

He’s got a long way to come back from his attitude and commitment issues, and is far too inconsistent or unappreciative of his place in the side to win the crowd at this stage. Selling him is the only thing that will satisfy both sides

A major lack of consistency and effort. Needs to do a lot to be praised

the problem with sneiderlin is that he has had 2 poor seasons at everton. as regards to richarlison he gives his all every game.even when he has a rubbish game he still puts in the effort

Yeah because he spent 12 months pulling out of tackles and passing any direction but forwards. Looks better now but still a way to go

If Schneiderlin gives 100% every game, the fans will appreciate him. He has the quality, just lacks the desire on a consistent basis.

Schneiderlin played really well yesterday; let’s hope it’s a trend and not an anomaly.
