Following an emerged clip on Twitter from Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte, Everton supporters have been keen to see the return of midfielder Muhamed Besic following his rough tackle on the player - jokingly taking to social media and hailing the no-nonsense nature of the incident.

Besic, who is currently on loan at Sheffield United from Everton, hasn't been able to find regular game time at the Blades since his switch - starting just two Premier League games and making the vast majority of his appearances from the bench.

The Bosnian, however, did find some success at Middlesborough last season in the Championship - starting 30 matches and providing five assists from midfield, as per WhoScored.com. Indeed, when compared to current Toffees midfielders Tom Davies and Fabian Delph, it's clear to see why Besic isn't a preferred potential option in front of the back four - with both Englishmen averaging a superior amount of tackles per game than the 27-year-old (0.9).

Besic, though, reigns superior in terms of dribbles - having completed 100% of his attempted ones so far this season (SofaScore). However, that isn't the reason some Evertonians are begging for his return to Goodison - here's what they had to say on Twitter surrounding the tackle on Laporte.

Everton fans, would you bring Besic back from his loan as cover? Join the discussion by commenting below...
