Everton have started life under Marco Silva in promising fashion, warranting the months of trying to get their man instead of Sam Allardyce.
Silva has come in and spent in order to improve his Everton team, something that seems to be paying off straight away. Last season they looked vulnerable every time the opposition came forward but this time around, they look like different players at the back, all because of Silva’s management.
At the other end of the pitch as well, they look a dangerous team going forward but something that could even be improved upon with a January signing. Should there still be money available, Everton have to go all-out for Porto’s Vincent Aboubakar to provide even more goal threat and physical presence.
Vincent Aboubakar, who is valued at £16.2 million on Transfermarkt, is a player that has reached peak form during his time with Portuguese champions Porto and that would lead to a great investment for Everton. Already this season, the 26-year-old has bagged three goals in four league appearances as he aims to match or better the 15 goals he notched up in Liga NOS last season.
Everton have Cenk Tosun as their main front-man but by bringing in Vincent Aboubakar, a strike-partnership or battle for the number 1 spot up-front would be on. The 27-year-old has been goal-shy at the start of the Premier League and the arrival of Aboubakar could either make or break the Turkish forward.
Competition for places is a healthy thing to have and considering how the Toffees want to return to their European contender role, should the Cameroon international continue his form, Aboubakar’s goals would be certain to provide that once again.
