Peter Schmeichel has delighted Everton fans by tipping Goodison Park to have the best match day atmosphere.
In a Q&A session on Twitter, questions for the Premier League legend have been pouring in. One fan asked the former Denmark international which stadium atmosphere he thinks is the best (aside from Old Trafford).
Schmeichel believes Everton are the side with the best crowds on match days, and Blues fans couldn’t be happier with his comment.
The 56-year-old, known mostly for his success with Manchester United, made 362 appearances for the Red Devils (via Transfermarkt) but there is an achievement he is also greatly known for. Schmeichel became the first ever goalkeeper to score a goal in the Premier League after his volley against Everton in the 2001/02 season.
Does Theo Walcott have a future at Goodison Park?
Blues fans are loving the response and are delighted to see rivals Liverpool miss out on having Anfield dubbed the best atmosphere. One supporter had replied ‘the Reds are fuming’ – read some more of the best responses here:
