Everton plot move for European Champion as part of Koeman’s revolution

The Everton fans who are gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports linking the club with a star of EURO 2016.

According to a report in The Sun, new manager Ronald Koeman is interested in bringing Portugal goalkeeper Rui Patricio to Goodison Park this summer.

The Sporting Lisbon custodian is thought to be desperate to play Premier League football next season and a bid of £6m would be all it would take to convince the Lisbon side to sell this summer.

The 28-year old enjoyed an impressive EURO 2016 campaign with his country, which ended with his side winning the tournament and that, form has alerted many clubs to his availability this summer.

He was voted the best goalkeeper at this summers tournament and although the Toffees are interested in other options between the posts, including Joe Hart, the low cost of the keeper could be enough to persuade Everton that he is the man for them.

Would Patricio be a good signing for Everton? What other ‘keeper should they be looking at? Let us know below….
