Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are very happy with how things have gone this season as they look for their side to break into the top six.
The Toffees have been going brilliantly this season and there really is every chance they can get into the top six before the end of the season – particularly with Arsenal’s poor form in mind.
Indeed, if they manage to do that it will really underline the good job Ronald Koeman has done and the next thing he surely needs to do is build on things with a strong transfer market.
Certainly, he looks set to do that, too, if you consider The Daily Mail’s latest report, at least, with them claiming that the Toffees are ready to spend big on Willian Jose of Real Sociedad.
Indeed, it’s going to take a fair bit of money to get the in-form striker in and, according to the report, the Toffees are confident that they can bring him in for £28 million – a fee that would equal their transfer record.
They paid the same for Romelu Lukaku and will surely hope that Willian Jose has the same impact if he joins.
