Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really looking to Ronald Koeman to build on his excellent first season with some top signings this summer.
The Dutch manager quickly settled in on Merseyside at the start of 2016/17 and certainly went about imposing his playing style on the club – leading them to a solid 7th placed finish.
Indeed, the challenge now is to break into that top six next season but there can be no doubt that the club needs to spend big to achieve that aim.
Who comes in, then, remains to be seen but Koeman has shown himself a decent negotiator in the transfer market and it does look as though the club has been handed a further boost in the chase for Sandro Ramirez.
Indeed, as per The Independent, the men from Goodison Park are now feeling confident that they will sign the striker from Malaga after Atletico Madrid saw their transfer ban upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The Toffees, then, could just be in the driving seat in the chase for the 14-goal striker and if you consider his talent at his current young age, it could just prove to be an inspired signing.
