Everton are considering a move for Anderlecht’s Leander Dendoncker, much to the delight of the supporters here in the Transfer Tavern.
According to Belgian outlet Nieusblad, the Toffees are considering a move for Anderlecht’s midfielder, Leander Dendoncker. The midfielder has been a West Ham United target in the past, and it is rumoured that the Belgian club have agreed for him to depart for a fee of £13.15M. This is undoubtedly a name that is unfamiliar to our resident Everton fans in the Tavern.
In addition to being targeted by West Ham United, it is reported that the 22-year-old was also in the interest of Manchester United. If Everton were to conclude a deal for the midfielder, then it’s more than probable that the midfielder will be sent back to Belgium on loan for the remainder of the season, you’d think.
Sam Allardyce has previously expressed his desire to limit the number of players that are in his squad. Accordingly, a deal to sign Dendoncker for the summer appears to be a proposition that will appease those involved with the deal.
As you can imagine, considering the recent struggles Allardyce and his men have had, the notion of new arrivals has excited the punters propping up our bar.
