Everton reportedly readying spending spree in bid to kick on, come what may

Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the summer even if it could herald a big loss ahead of 2017/18.

The Toffees really are going well at the moment and could still qualify for the Champions League, even if the Europa League is looking more likely.

That, though, would still mark a good season and our landlord reckons with the right additions they could kick on again next season.

They could, though, have to do that without Romelu Lukaku with The Sun claiming that Cedric Bakambu and Willian Jose will be signed as replacements for the Belgian.

Both strikers are currently in La Liga but neither, you’d argue, are as good as the powerful Belgian and so the only hope can be that the pair combined produce the same amount of goals.

We could be set to see Everton splash the cash in the summer, then, with the report suggesting £50 million could be what it takes to get the pair of strikers through the doors at Goodison Park.
